They are the first Muslim gay couple in Britain to decide to marry. The two married in Walsaall's civilian office after a two-year relationship. On the occasion, Choudhury recounts his first encounter with Express and Star. Jahed Choudhury and Sean Rogan held a wedding ceremony in Walsall, West Midlands. It was the first marriage ceremony in England that one of his bride was Muslim.

"This marriage shows to others that I no longer care. My family did not come, they did not want to see this wedding. It's too embarrassing for them, " Choudhury said.
"For them, this [homosexuality] is a disease and can be cured, even some families call this just the maturation stage," he added.
Choudhury wants to show that being a gay is his true identity and trying to resist it can lead to depression.
"I want to say that everyone feels the same way that I am, that this is fine.We can show the world that being Muslim and gay is okay," he said.
Rogan, 19, states he will continue to be next to Choudhury, "every step, anytime."
"Being gay is not a mistake, not a phase, we need support," Rogan added.
Even so, Walsall Town Hall, where they were married, called religion not recorded in marriage letters. In England, same-sex marriages with religious ceremonies are rare. There is only one data in 2014.
Meanwhile, the Muslim Council of Britain, which houses more than 500 Muslim organizations and mosques in Britain, along with the Church of England, firmly rejects the legalization of same-sex marriage in England and Wales by 2013.
